Anyway, note to self, wait until the wife is out before looking at CJW's Flickr page again, cor blimey guvnor!

You make them sound like porn!! But thanks for looking anyway.

No, not porn, but there are one or two shots that I think I'd have a hard time convincing my wife of their artistic merit!

How about this one (before it gets lifted by the mods...)?

Yes, I do indeed object to this picture. Please remove it and replace it with a higher res version - 640px wide just isn't big enough to truly judge the artistic value in full screen mode. Thank you.

Anyway - Ramsey, 1975. Or yesterday. Makes no difference, really..

Lots of these fellas streaming past the Point of Ayre this morning - always good value!

Northern Gannet by CJWormwell, on Flickr

That's a superb shot, excellent stuff. I tried to get some shots of gannets while on the Steam Packet round the island cruise this morning, but with the boat lurching around and loads of spray from the engines it was impossible.

A tern over Laxey bay. Nowhere near as clear as the above gannet, but I don't have a 700mm lens like Chris!

A Sandwich Tern, good effort.

My lens is only a 500mm but I do sometimes couple it with a 1.4t/c

That Tern is really good too.

Would like to do more wildlife shots myself but am limited to 200mm + 1.4tc, and 280mm on full frame does not a wildlife setup make, unless you count cows & sheep and not a lot else as being suitable subjects.

Wish I'd known about the round Island trip too. Done it before and very much enjoyed it. Fair breeze today mind!

Yes, really enjoyed the cruise round the island. Passed all the yachts doing the Ramsey round the island race at about 12.30, just seen some of the boats finishing in Ramsey bay now!
