But my oh my, the Allan Street siege, any hostages? Do you know that all the staff and pupils at the school were either locked in, or led out one by one! Nobody wants another Dublane, but FFS, it just would have taken an avuncular PC to chat to the hammer brandishing monster, to quickly assess he was a minimal risk and could have been talked down, rather than given the high profile which upped the ante.
