simon
To be honest - is it any great surprise? It's part of the RBS group - which has been steadily consolidating over a number years. And over several hundreds of years, at least, if you take a longer view. Who NextWell - um, probably other banks if we're honest. And probably all other companies which have clients who fill in forms. (Travel agents too, probably.)

ans
To be honest - is it any great surprise? Not considering the UK economy no. But you wouldn't expect a few rabid locals to understand that it's a problem not limited to the Island. After all, the world ends at the breakwater, right? Stavros
But they would have to have lost their job in the first place if: Manx Radio have said that all have been offered new jobs within the RBS Group Stav.
manxman8180
Either: i) lost their jobs and were very lucky to be offered jobs with parent company or ii) the easiest method to align terms and conditions within the group It's the oldest trick in the book, make them redundant and then offer to re-employ them on different T & C's.... ans
Legally they can't be offered the same position though so these are new jobs.
manxman8180
I'm guessing that the work would be transferred to the parent company, RBS, therefore, they would technically be 'new jobs' with a different employer.
Slim
You can simply change T&C's giving enough notice, it's not like you're forced to keep em.
