FCMR
Speaking to an estate agent today and he was saying that it was his belief that the Island has more EMPTY properties for sale than ever. As I never had the time to get the full story, I cant see how he could make this statement unless he was taking into account all the appartments that are for sale. The Old Git
If (or when) the finance sector goes I reckon those of us left will be able to afford a couple of houses each.
Slim
Why would it have to be appartments? They seem to be selling quite quick, it's houses that seem to be sluggish.

In which case, it'll be pretty worthless and you'll have a huge mortgage to pay with no equity! Stav.

Stavros
I meant houses being bought in the 20th/21st century, not the one before that! Stav.

simon
All those apartments will be needed to house the huge influx of highly skilled workers we'll be employing on the island once the space programme really gets going. And all the other bwilliant ideas coming out of government these days. Buy one now - they'll be worth a fortune in 10 years time. Gosh but the island is uniquely placed. All we need now is some kind of mission statement or slogan.

What do you get for that? Freehold? It's over 2,800 pounds per metre! Surely the very minumum would be lounge 12 m2 3x4 bed 1 12 m2 3x4 bed 2 12 m2 3x4 kitchen/diner 12 m2 3x4 bath 6 m2 3x2 which makes 54 m2. Not much for your money is it?
