Titanic
Good huh? Unfortunately, it's just the wrong time of year for icebergs in Douglas bay. Although I have seen a few beached white whales on Douglas beach in the last month or so. Very scary

Minxie
I saw the lifeboat over that end of the prom yesterday and wondered what was happening - the coastguard van with sirens on was bombing down the prom headed up that way as well.

The Old Git
According to my dad, who has a commanding view of the bay, the yachts outboard packed in and he drifted onto the rocks at high tide A pity he didn't drop his anchor, they're often quite good at stopping boats drifting. monasqueen
Not the seacat again? no, that's plodding along sedately at 20kt, 6 miles to go, making it about a 4hr crossing from Liverpool Not ANOTHER problem? Why can't the Racket get a proper ship that can keep going, and not get holed when it touches something? How about something with a thick steel hull? That would be an idea I note the resurrected seacat made it to Liverpool in over 3 1/2 hours again this morning. Hardly what you would call a fast craft. The old turbine steamers would do it in less. thesultanofsheight
A pity he didn't drop his anchor, they're often quite good at stopping boats drifting. I bet metaphorically he dropped his anchor well before the Coastguard turned up
