ray marshall Posted August 20, 2008 Share Posted August 20, 2008 first off, a huge thanx to uni and all at mflive for this...... instead of club classics (hurray!)......im going to be streaming the dance tent from the vale castle here in guernsey, all 12 hours of it this sunday. dont think this has been tried before, and its something a little different for everyone else... you can expect chilled out psy, house, electro, fluffy trance hard house, techno acid and, as it turns out, a live pa and dj set from a former wednesday sessions guest dj, jamie taylor...going by his mix from then i am really looking forward to all of it cant stream the mainstage for contractual reasons but we have a belting line up of bands etc... if your curious check out http://www.valeearthfair.org it kicks off 12 midday and ends 12 midnight, you can listen in on http://mflive.com (Huzzah!) and http://www.1mix.co.uk on the house stream, and canada on http://genzel.ca hope you enjoy it and get a little taste of what goes on over here......you never know, it might spur the right people over there to get one going of your own Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ray marshall Posted August 25, 2008 Author Share Posted August 25, 2008 uum yeah sorry about that lol...... to recap..... about 40 people approx 8 days to put on and take down 3 stages, over 50 bands and dj's combined loads of beer (barrels cans etc.....all gone!) unknown amounts of volunteers to help tidy up, litter pick.... 1 airtel vodaphone dongle (thank you so much) a rather large count of hangovers 10 quid ticket and 15 on the gate......good value for what you could choose from music wise and ofcourse whoever logged onto the stream, despite teething problems at the start, in the end it was a bloody vista laptop that handled the stream and didnt crash!!! thank you and i hope it gave a tiny taster of what we do here, shame we couldnt do the main stage but for contractual reasons obviously we couldnt.... not sure about a show this wed but will keep u posted....got a lot to take down and clear away now cheers ps....and jamie taylor rocks live.....quality:) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
