Chinahand
One of my school boy memories is watching David running like the wind. My thoughts go to his family. It is tragic when someone dies young. Manx Radio Story

Albert Tatlock
Used to run the Creg Ny Baa according to Manx Radio? Is it the thin faced tall bloke? Did he still have the Creg? I was informed that it is his parents that run the Creg and he was also involved. Tragedy to see someone that young die. I hope I never see any of my kids die before I pop off. ian rush
I knew him through athletics and he helped me quite a bit on my speed work / technique even though we only met a few times when he was working with the sprinters in 2000-ish My thoughts go out to his wife and family. mbx
Dave was in the year above me at school and was an excellent sprinter. I believe he showed a lot of promise and represented the Island in the 1990 Commonwealth games. He was working @ Hamblin when our staff handbook was re-written and he came and chatted to the guys here to clear up any issues arising from the changes. He hadn't changed much. TomTucker
he also painted the oil paintings in the dining area of the creg pub, the one of Duffus and Rutter on Ducati's springs to mind. I believe some of his close family have had other tragedies over the past few years too. so sorry to hear of another family member passing on. The Godfather of Manx House
He was a particularly likeable chap. I also went to school with him and even almost 20 years later he recognised me in the Creg and said hello and had a chat. I still recalled him holding the KWC 100 yards record in 11.1secs ( I think) which he found most amusing. Sincere condolences to all concerned. Especially his young family. Very sad indeed... ...GOMH*...
a_nony_mouse
I have very fond memories of our time together at school and hope that all that he achieved in his short lifetime will provide some comfort for his family at what must be an utterly tragic time.
