Tempus Fugit
Very sad R.I.P. there's some very strange reporting of this, like "woman died on the Patrick Road" "incident on the Patrick Road " "a property in a village "
x-in-man
Very sad R.I.P. there's some very strange reporting of this, like "woman died on the Patrick Road" "incident on the Patrick Road " "a property in a village " Sad indeed. One would suspect that the 'strange reporting' may be something to do with formal IDs - and next of kin informing etc. My thoughts go to the family. andrew
The "stange reporting" is down to the fact that not all the next of kin have been informed. As Patrick is such a small place, I suspect that everythign is being kept vague until those that need to know have been informed otherwise it would be easy for people to guess who it was who died. Moghrey Mie
Very sad R.I.P. there's some very strange reporting of this, like "woman died on the Patrick Road" "incident on the Patrick Road " "a property in a village " They normally say 'a Patrick woman or 'a Foxdale woman' Maybe it's a Manx phrase.. KERED
I'm with Tempus, on this one. The wording on the MR bulletins all morning, kept referring to the death having taken place on the Patrick road. I kept wondering how a woman could have died from "smoke inhalation" in an road accident. I realise that there are issues regarding the next of kin etc., but couldn't they have said that a woman died IN A HOUSE on the Patrick road? There are, after all MANY houses on the Partick road. (yet another example of lazy journalism and lack of adequate supervision by the ubiquitous MR News Editor(s) IMO) Very sad, however, for the friends and family of the lady involved.
