Graculus
Whilst not quite sinking to the depths sometimes seen on the forum, it's still quite funny to see the following on the MR website: "We have advised the Council of Ministers of the same, and I am insistent that we have an in-depth inquiry, root and branch, from refinary right through wholesalers and the retail outlets as well." No doubt written by the proud owner of a 'university' degree.

Skeddan
'Oh Dear' about the OFT inquiry too. I'd have thought they could figure the reasons for higher petrol prices without having to make a meal of it. If as much effort were put into bringing prices down, the problem might have been solved by now. Again probably a university degree and knowing stats and working with averages, but not really understanding retail strategies or pricing dynamics. You don't have to go to the 'refinary' to work it out, just to a few petrol stations.
