We Like The Moon
I'm loving the Manx Radio headline for this story.... Manx rivers are free of aliens What a relief - don't fancy getting attacked by a little green monster next time I'm out fishing
Albert Tatlock
"It's great to be certain that our streams and rivers are currently free from animal invaders, such as signal crayfish and Chinese mitten crabs." Hardly surprising really: It's too far to swim, and the boat fares are way too expensive.
Jimcalagon
I'm sure that if there are any invaders here, this chap will find them
CJW
Doesn't it (the full report) say "over 50% are free of invading species" or words to that effect? Does that mean that the rest have got "invaders"? Manx waterways are pretty poor in terms of invertebrate life to begin with - hence the low number of odonates and breeding bird species such as Dipper.
