He took things of little value and dressed them up to seem much more important and impressive than they were, and made things of high value seem of little worth. In this way Mannanan kept away would-be attackers and competitors invaders. I wouldn't take the protective cloak of 'mist' or fog too literally. It would be much more in keeping with the myths for this to be a cloak of deception and misinformation - one used to mislead and conceal. (fog of war, mists of time etc.) Anyway I doubt the Select Committee Report will unveil anything protected by the cloak of Mannanan. Is this going to be the flagship of the fleet?
