Mini Nuclear Power Plants

Mini nuclear plants expected to be in production in 5 years. 25MWe for abt. £13m. "enough to provide electricity for about 20,000 average American sized homes or its industrial equivalent." (IoM peak demand is probably currently about 60MWe).

I've generally been anti-nuclear - often safety issues are downplayed and true costs not assessed. However the new breed of pebble bed reactors and these mini-plants seem a highly viable proposition.
