I'm at a loss as to why you will insist in trying to wind-up we folk that live in Ramsey. You are obviously, at least, in possession of basic literacy skills as demonstrated by your ability to string together a rudimetary sentence. However, your pretensious air and obstreperous attitude only potrays repressed anger and inadequacy. If, indeed, you are the "prick" so eloquently put forward as an excuse for your boarish behaviour by Mr/Mrs chunkylover I suggest you place your head within your own anus, without delay, as you are in grave danger of upsetting someone to the point of annoyance.

I bid you good day sir.

Before Ramsey Ship yard can break the Solway Harvester up they have to make the boat Clean (environment friendly) in the same way as if she was to be sunk.

The estimated cost for the preparation works (estimated by a Marine Engineer) £3000/£4000.

Towing Costs from Douglas to Ramsey approx £2000 plus insurance costs.

Estimated cost to cut up and separate the scrap £25/30k

Cost to ship the scrap to the UK ?? (to achieve best price)

Scrap value at UK prices today £11850-00.

To Clean boat (enviroment friendly) £3000/£4000

Towed out to sea and sunk £2000

Scrap value re removals from boat of cables, wires ect £200

Value to marine ecotourism, diving, recreational fishing and marine life, you cant put a value on it, but would be a lot more than the scrap value.

And the cost to the taxpayer would also be less.
