The estimated cost for the preparation works (estimated by a Marine Engineer) £3000/£4000. Towing Costs from Douglas to Ramsey approx £2000 plus insurance costs. Estimated cost to cut up and separate the scrap £25/30k Cost to ship the scrap to the UK ?? (to achieve best price) Scrap value at UK prices today £11850-00. __________________________________________________- To Clean boat (enviroment friendly) £3000/£4000 Towed out to sea and sunk £2000 Scrap value re removals from boat of cables, wires ect £200 Value to marine ecotourism, diving, recreational fishing and marine life, you cant put a value on it, but would be a lot more than the scrap value.
