Silentbob Posted November 20, 2008 Share Posted November 20, 2008 It mentions that its freight chrges are 20% less than the channel Island, however from Douglas to Heysham is approx 55NM, Portsmouth to the Channel Islands is over 100NM. So lets say 100 pounds per tonne for the CA, 80 per tonne for the IOM, cost per NM is... IOM £1.45 per tonne per NM CA £1.00 per tonne per NM The only loss making stuff I expect you do is when you bother to phone us when your ferries are frequently cancelled, even then you get to charge us to change our ticket.
