Why not do the visiting like in the movies, a great big glass screen and a telephone between the scroats and their visitors. Anythging they must have can be given to the guards to search first before handing it over, Is it too simple?

It might be a good idea to search the staff as well, the two prisons I worked in suffered from smuggling by the staff.

did i hear it correct on the news, if visitors have banned substances on them, they are turned around? why are they not arrested and taken to the Police HQ?

 

The banned substances now include tobacco. Which isn't illegal.

Anyone know if that actually went through Tynwald, or is just some regulation set by one minister?
