Speckled Frost
We have seen an amazing response of kindness and generosity to the tsunami disaster. The stories of children selling toys and giving up pocket money, people dropping everything to go over and volunteer their services and the likes of the Tamils and Sri Lankan government working together, has been heart-warming. I thought that finally, we were really seeing the best of human nature. Observer
That is terrible! It would never have crossed my mind in a million years that this could be an issue after such a disaster - just goes to show how sheltered my thinking is. It's horrible to think about in any depth at all - children whose lives have already been shattered, then sold into sexual slavery - it's absolutely gross. Dave the Cardboard Box
I think this settles once and for all the question of the existence of a God. 1. Devastate the poorest areas of the world 2. Ensure that a large proportion are helpless children 3. During rescue operations ensure that 11 inches of rain falls in one day, thereby making roads impassablel 4. In the worst hit area, Sumatra, ensure that a cow strays across the only usuable runway, causing a very large plane to crash and block the crucial runway for 18 hours 5. Bill Posters
This is terrible news. I can see what you're getting at DtCB. There was an item on the news the other day about how the different religions are having trouble getting their message across. Wonder why?
