Orange
Difference is, though, in Bavaria people are used to driving in wintery conditions. Yes, but the difference is the "Strassenarbeiter" are out all night gritting and salting the roads!
Fossils
How do they know when to grit roads? It seems that they wait until there have been a few accidents.
hboy
How do they know when to grit roads? How do they know? Usually its about 4 hours after some angry old gimmer rings Manx Radio to complain that they haven't gritted the roads. I think that';s the signal. Gonzie
didn't see any frost at all. I bet you spotted a few erect nipples though, eh, ; )), through the clothes and everything? WTF. I do that plenty and I've only been here a few weeks, I would have thought you'd be used to it by now
manshimajin
Difference is, though, in Bavaria people are used to driving in wintery conditions. On this little isle, there's snow and ice for a few minutes a year so I can see how it will catch some people out when you're not used to it. This probably explains why German road fatalities per million are about 12% higher than in the UK then (source EU statistics)...German drivers may not be used to driving in good conditions?
