DalbySpook
I had a quick scan through but couldn't see a thread on this (there probably is - apologies). But anyway, there's a yellow planning permission notice at the Mt Murray Sports Hall advising that it will become a Casino and Three Storey Aparthotel. I hadn't heard about this and thought maybe you (the reader) hadn't either. If you want to object you have up to 4th December. Ahh .... bit late. The date on a site notice (eg. 4th December) is the end of the statutory 21 day consultation period. That means that the Planning Department cannot legally make a decision until that consultation period has expired, but you can still make representations (object, support, comment) right up until a decision is made. It is rare for a decision to be made until at least a few weeks after the end of the statutory consultation period. I understand that this particular planning application is due to go before the Planning Committee at their next meeting on the 18th December, the expected officer recommendation is refusal as the proposal is contrary to numerous planning policies.
