Note to Mish, ensure an adequate stock of brown envelopes is available for purchase.

C5 format works well...

Are you not a modorater, are you not going to get nailed by a certain person for what this image implies?

It implies nothing - just shows that I once took some money from the bank in a C5 format envelope, and it worked quite well. Of course, you could also just use it for sending a letter or picking up dog poo....

And I was ( in these increasingly difficult business times ) pointing out that any large scale planning application is surely bound to involve much paperwork which presumably will require many strong and indeed large, brown envelopes for the sole pupose of holding and conveying associated plans and paperwork and so alerting a forum member to a possible commercial opportunity in his line of business.

Heaven forbid that any other meaning was suspected or inferred.

I had a quick scan through but couldn't see a thread on this (there probably is - apologies).

But anyway, there's a yellow planning permission notice at the Mt Murray Sports Hall advising that it will become a Casino and Three Storey Aparthotel.

I hadn't heard about this and thought maybe you (the reader) hadn't either.

If you want to object you have up to 4th December. Ahh .... bit late.

What's the difference between a 'resort village of holiday accommodation' that is permanently occupied and an 'aparthotel' that will probably be permanently occupied?

Outline planning application for Mount Murray January 1991 Permission for 150 houses to be used for permanent residential purposes given in October 1991.

How time flies! And what have we learnt?
