ballaughbiker
And now with all that forward planning, the prison is taking more power than can be produced, so; Peel to be de-mothballed, Ramsey to be started again and boosters fitted all over the island because the system is struggling.Bunch of amateurs. Just wondering. If the capacity of Pulrose is 88MW and the cable to Blackpool 40MW we would have to be consuming more than 128MW before we needed to fire up Ramsey or Peel? Is that correct? If on the other hand Pulrose was down for maintenance then that's not quite the same thing is it? Now then 128 MW, divided by the population, say 75000, thats er um a peak 1.7kW for each and every one of us. Even taking into account very big power requirements like the MRI scanner at Nobles, thats one hell of a lot of power for every man, woman and child to consume all at the same time, innit? Also assuming 128MW is being used that's over £15000+VAT/hour at 12p a unit, yep it's a lot of power. Like I said, just wondering....
%age
If it had gone the other way then there might hav had to be claims against the advocates who advised MEA and the MEA members. ... yep, you could hear the sighs of relief in Athol Street right across Douglas, followed by the chinking of Champagne glasses in Page Three's bar. Plus there's the continuation of the offloading of shed loads of money advising the Government for many moons to come. The only ones to win, win, win are indeed the lawyers! The new station at Pulrose capacity is 82Mw on a cold day with the older diesel station at 42.5Mw Peel can make 34Mw Ramsey is mothballed and very unlikly to ever produce power again and the Hydro makes up to 1Mw if we have had enough fuel drop on the island. The cable can import or export up to 67Mw now (been upgraded since your data). Peak demand can be up to 92Mw

%age
Oh yeah, and the various contractors working ion the schemes (Power Station, Gas Pipeline, Sub-sea Cable). There was one helluva lot of money and expensive equipment chucked around and simply given away as if it was confetti. A basic search through the accounts by a half decent quantity surveyor would chuck up a few surprises.
