Slim Posted December 19, 2008 Share Posted December 19, 2008 This weeks game on Live is a bit unusual...it's a freebee advertising vehicle for doritos crisps. Could be fucking awful, and very nearly is, but I think they pull it off. It's by Ninjabee, so it automatically rules of course, but rather than flog advertising down your neck, they've spunked up a fun little diversion with a bit of branding that's actually worth giving a go. It's got two sets of top down townscape levels, one set as a truck trying to pick up doritos deliveries from random points around the map, one set as a dinosaur who loves doritos and eating trucks. The dino's also have a Rampage like ability to wreak total distruction on the buildings, they can walk through anything except water, makes the game silly and fun. The trucks are fragile and obviously hunted by the dinos but they have a limited boost ability to help em escape and they're very nimble. Each level gives you a small upgrade, be it speed, chomping power, etc, and some more challenges like an opposing dino or truck. What's surprising is it's actually worth playing, it only lasts half an hour or so, and you've done everything, multiplay might give you another half hour, it's taking the piss out of itself and it's blatently easy to rack up the 200 gamerscore and it's laughing about that too.
