John
Hi all I seem to be getting pulled into DJing lots of weddings etc at the moment and my music knowledge only slips back to the 70's Disco era. Could you please let me know some decent 60's tunage that would go down a treat at any function. Thanks John
Lonan3
Without thinking too much about it; Hang On Sloopy - The McCoys; Let's Dance - Chris Montez; Gimme Some Lovin' - Spencer Davis; The Letter - Boxtops; Hi Ho Silver Ling - Jeff Beck, are some of the ones that seem to get people up and dancing. oogie boogie
Tell them music only started in 1976, before that it was all just tuned shit.
Lonan3
Incorrect! Music died around 1971. Just tuneless shit ever since.

thebees
Jeff Beck!!!!!!! OMG, my friend likes him, I like some of his stuff, but its all a bit 'ego guitar'. If you can be bothered or have the time or whatever listen to the version of Nadia he did and also the one by nitin sawhney, the way he does play the guitar just like the lady sings it is rather fucking brilliant. This little find is credited to my friend and music mentor who knows all the best things to listen to.

Declan
You pretty much can't go wrong with the Beatles, if you are just after a quick fix get the either Past Masters 1 & 2, or the Red & Blue albums.
