But I can't help feeling the design is another lost opportunity. That is a wonderful site with views of the hills and the sea. Surely the new pool could have been something spectacular. Instead we've got the usual 'big shed with a wavy roof' that passes for modern architecture on the island. Most houses that are built eg off Johnny Watterson's Lane seems to be pastiche of a by-gone age.Are there any buildings on the island that look as though they were built in the 21st century? If you think the architecture is bad you should see the pathetic effort of the heating and power system, I think it was designed by 60's albanian sheep farmer.
