So, how many millions to make the runway wider as well as longer?

Just think how much fuel would be saved if they made it higher too!

Maybe they could put it in a tunnel to eliminate sidewinds? or how about a runwayabout - a circular runway so you can always land into the wind? DoT can advise.

 

I think it is the spirit of that skeleton they dug up last year coming back to wreak havoc.

Grass airfields in the distant past used to be circular so in effect there was no such thing as a crosswind landing, thats why early vintage aircraft have lots of problems landing in a crosswind as designers were not concerned with their behaviour in a crosswind. Dont let the airport development buffoons know this we will finish up with half the south under concrete LOL.
