Just read today in the letters section of a paper, of someone who went to a war museum in Australia, and there were groups of Japanese tourists having their pictures taken smiling standing next to a life size picture of an Australian soldier, kneeling bound and blindfolded about to be decapitated by a Japanese Officer. Obviously some people are incapable of showing remorse for the actions of their countrymen in the past.

I have been friends with Japanese people, and have absolutely no problem with them, but from what I can gather from having spoken to them, they are completely ignorant of their countries actions in the 2nd WW. I didn't bring up the subject much, apart from when I was asked if I had been to Japan, said no, but my Grandad has been near kobi in the 1940's in less fortunate circumstances and left it at that.

Whereas those Germans I have known, have been completely remorseful for what has occurred in the past.

However sadly, was also reading in the paper yesterday, that it appears National Socialism may once more be on the rise in Germany, and that some Germans feel unfairly vilified for what occurred in the war, feeling the bombing of Dresden is on a par with the holocaust.
