Let's hope the temperature drops 2C and it slings it down - the plod will have fun running the rescue operation. Silentbob
I do remember the days when they didn't close the mountain road, no matter how bad it got, take a run up there at night and an abandoned car every 1/4 mile. Some people are really that stupid I guess.

Some people are really that stupid I guess. I suppose the ultimate goal is that none us will ever have to actually learn anything ourselves, we'll just have 'what to do' rammed down our throats often enough, and from an early enough age, for us never to have to experience anything whatsoever that's unique or interesting, and thus our lives will be incredibly bland but perhaps productive. Or in other words, just let people have some fucking fun in the snow.

immortalpuppet
I was talking to someone today who said that you are still allowed to go over the mountain when its road closed but you are not insured. I cant believe thats true for a minute, but i do remember my brother going up to the mountain in his MK2 escort in the snow when i was a nipper, he didnt last long and ended up in hospital with a broken collarbone and 2 broken thumbs. The car was left in a farmers ard for weeks until he got pissed off and had rambo tow it away.

P.R.O.P
The signs have to be in this order. ROAD CLOSED AHEAD followed by ROAD CLOSED. You can keep going until you see the road closed sign. You usually only see this at the Creg or Ramsey side of the moutain the roads leading on to the moutain elsewhere dont usually have the second sign. Only recomended for drivers with the right car and kit not like the lad I came across in a BMW stuck in a drift on the Brandywell rd no rope no shovel crap shoes and no sense.
