* Subject to weather, gearboxes, the sinking our boats when they run into things.

** Due to the cheapness of fuel a special surcharge will apply to all fares. If this is not allowed to be applied the whole universe would end.

*** Boats will arrive at 1.30pm and depart again at 2.30pm before all racing is finished. Afterall it would be unreasonable for you to actually be able to watch a whole sporting event.

**** The boat may not take you back to the port you sailed from.

***** All services are subject to overpriced food and beverages. Which will run out of stock of approximately 20 minutes out of the harbor.

Thats a bit harsh - its 1:25pm arrive - 2:35 depart.

And the headline should read

..Rich Visitirs to the Isle of Man TT MAY be able to travel ...... if there is a boat in the morning.

I think were talking 6am boats from Heysham and a 10pm return sailing.

Which with the Steam Rackets record , should allow for a good 20-30 mins of race watching. Assuming the boat isnt sold mid-journey to a Malaysian Freight Company.

*****also please bring own seats - after all you dont expect to manage to find one

*******bring own cleaning materials - as conditions tend to be filthy

No they are NOT.

Often Ive been on a boat, and they closed off an entire section for 'deep cleaning' -

- when the boat has been full

- along with the constant 'ding dong' - "there is plenty of space on the upper deck for only an extra £12.00 per person"

Never seen them deep cleaning a closed section when on a crossing mind.

Hold on now - it's only £65.50 per person plus charges...compared with £26.00 plus charges for a return in July. Only 2.5 times dearer. Supply and demand - when the boat is full you can charge high fares ... and when it is empty later in the summer tourism season you can charge very little.

No, we're talking 02.15 boats from Heysham and 19.45 back or thereabouts. So be at Heysham for 01.15, and Douglas at 18.45 (giving an hour to book in and wait), then you are just about back to Heysham before midnight.

Stock up on matches on the way back, you'll need the matchsticks to prop up the eyelids next day. <_<
