Silentbob
Very sad, although it is nice to know that they have higly trained staff/quality equipment in the medical field, now all they need is staff and equipment to the same level in the hospitality area. Maybe they can give some pointers to the clowns in Nobles?
When Skies Are Grey
If he had gone before they winched him up then questions should be asked. It's a very dangerous, life-risking business and bloody stupid to do it for nothing. unlike most of you english folk atleast he was making an effort to leave.. .. he nearly made it too.. That's a somewhat glib post from someone getting so het up at the Jade bashing elsewhere......

andrew
If he had gone before they winched him up then questions should be asked. It's a very dangerous, life-risking business and bloody stupid to do it for nothing. The media reports the official facts reported to them by the emergency services. So don't shoot the messenger... well that answers that then so the emergncy services give wrong facts, o its a funny world Their not going to announce that he's dead before his family have been informed. It's not been said anywhere else that he died on the boat itself. The only reason I can think of winching him off was that your not dead until a doctor says so (even through there was apparantly a doctor on board) so maybe they had to get him to a doctor ashore. You're probably right. However not only is it bloody dangerous but after using the winch the SAR is then unavailable until it can return to base and have the cable replaced. KERED
Manx Radio News Department unprofessional? That's a bit harsh! You should remember that they have only TWO News Editors who have to run the entire busy newsroom!
