Boiler Room Scams - Still Out There

speaking to a friend today who'd almost been scammed made me I realise these scams are as rife as ever. In such an economic environment it is especially important not to get caught out. they prey on people's embarrassment at losing money through a scheme that makes you sound stupid if you don't take them up.

 

they'll ususally start trying to persuade you to invest a relatively modest sum; eg 3,000. and it will be a high pressure sales call, quite often with an 'expert' on hand to put you on to if you're unsure. If you go ahead will likely make a profit by which time you'll be so impressed you'll happily invest more. The 'stockbroker' will be based somewhere like Japan and the stock will be dealt through another country's exchange, the website and contact details will all look very authentic; but they're anything but. millions have already been lost through such schemes and it would surprise you who has been taken in by this and lost money already.

thats on top of several phone calls a week for land investment time share etc etc..

 

i just tell them str8 out to fuck off.. same cunts are phoning the next week and the next etc etc .. fuck off means jack to them..
