La_Dolce_Vita
I am a little confused by this. It was previously limited to post-custodial licenses and probation orders. If tagging, which to me is a repugnant thing, means shorter sentences but that they are monitored then it seems like an improvement. But I remember somebody mentioning on a separate thread on the same topic about this issue of people of bail being tagged. Does not effectively mean that people who have been charged but who may be innocent are tagged to ensure they make it to court? If this is the case it is utterly wrongful that it be brought in. This tagging for curfew orders is obviously no magic wand or big problem solver. It is just a deterrent for that person to commit crime while under a curfew order. When that expires what is to stop them committing crime?
