Albert Tatlock
Phew! "It looks as if the Isle of Man has escaped being put on the mooted G20 "tax haven" blacklist."
Pragmatopian
There's a brief article in Time this week about tax havens and the G20. It focuses on the Swiss and other jurisdictions recently increasing cooperation regarding tax evasion. The Isle of Man is not mentioned.
Snaipyr
You can all argue over evasion and avoidence untill the cows come home. At the end of the day, people with money will move it from places which no longer protect them from predatory tax authorities. Take the IOM for instance.... it'll be back to sheep and rabbits if they continue down the road they're on at the moment! That'd be fine by me - so long as there's spuds and herring as well!
