waddy Posted January 21, 2005 Share Posted January 21, 2005 Ive got a problem, i have Source set for the resolution 1152 x 864. That monitor went pop, plugged into a new monitor, but i cant launch CS because the monitor says the resolution is to high and cannot be supported. So because i cant launch, i cant set the resolution lower for the game. I have looked in the .cfg file but cannot find reference to the Resolution. Don't know if it works. create a shortcut for cs:s on the desktop from steam. right click -> properties in the target line add; -width 1024 height 768 (or whatever u want ur res to be) AFTER the rest of the text. make sure u include a space between the '-' and the existing text. ans Posted January 21, 2005 Share Posted January 21, 2005 It will work. You have always been able to specify screen resolution as command line arguments in HL and most other FPS games. I seem to remember having to do that myself in an early CS:S beta version that crashed if you set it to 1280x1024 (my native resolution). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
