The Rarest Place In The World

Yet again we hear on news reports that a burglary had happened and that 'it is rare' in the Isle of Man for this to happen, but I seem to remember hearing this explanation about 3 or 4 times recently, so just how often does it have to happen before it ceases to be classed as 'rare' and just becomes the 'norm'.

Is it just the same crumpled crib sheet the police spokesman uses to save having to think of something new to say to the media, or is it to avoid public panic setting in ?

Burglary is indeed a rare crime here, too busy beating up the missus, mugging people at night, fighting in colours, burning out cars, smuggling coke and heroin, fiddling government schemes, drink driving, killing dogs, speeding, dog fouling, parking illegally, shoplifting, avoiding tax and other illegal activities you see in the papers weekly.

There are only so many hours in the day.

It'll become the norm once all the useless fuckers who have benefitted from our full employment over the years end up back where they started.
