Education Minister Admits Teachers May Face Redundancy

Teachers may lose jobs

I just wondered what people's thoughts were on this.

Perhaps they could put the redundant teachers to work on the £40M airfield extension we don't need - or maybe employ them to help hand out the envelopes containing the £150M of taxpayers money the government are handing back to KSF depositors.

It's many of our politicians that should be being sacked NOW, most of them have been incapable and redundant for years. At least take the extra education budget out of their expense accounts, or their way above average pension I say.

Albert, maybe some of our politicians could open a brothel, after all, they have been paid generously for many years to f*** us and surely this experience should not go to waste!

They'll get laid off and then get paid double to come back as part time supply teachers instead - just like the retired ones do.

In fairness, that's not what happens. The only reason they appear to get more is because they don't get paid through the holidays, like teachers on contracts (where pay is evened out over 12 months). Supply teachers just get paid for what they do. I doubt that'll happen anyway.

Quite, shame you can't edit other people's posts that contain your posting as a quote.

Welcome to MF, you live and learn. Maybe.......

Anyway back to the thread. Isn't this 'shortage of money' caused by the school budgets not being aligned with the financial year?
