It has a couple of very minor scuffs to the corners as shown in the photo, but this doesn't detract from an excellent quality product. They will be supplied in original packaging complete with instructions. Details: The Gemini CD1800X pro CD player and digital turntable offers powerful DSP (digital signal processing) effects such as "on the fly" seamless looping, zoom (flange), reverse, filter, and brake, which help your digital DJ-ing more closely approximate--and even exceed in quality--theeffects from an analog turntable. The CD1800X also offers real-time interactive scratching, giving you complete vinyl-like control over your program. Other functions include 4 instant-start "hot key" cue buttons and a digital-audio output for direct connectionwith a CD or minidisc recorder or a computer's sound card. The frame-accurate Gemini CD1800X also offers Master Tempo, which grants more extreme BPM (beats per minute) variations while preserving the musical key of your program. Pitch control ranges are +/- 4 percent, 8 percent, and 16 percent (with a +/- 4 percent maximum for realtime pitch bending), and a 10-second anti-skip buffer brings peace of mind when others are dancing or moving around you while you work. The zoom effect changes the delay time as you rotate the jog wheel, mixing a short delay with the playback sound. This produces the sound of a jet engine (flanger effect) using just a single CD player. The "filter" effect changes the cut-off frequency of the playback sound when you rotate the jog wheel. This lets you extract and play back specific parts from the playback sound, such as focusing on a flute while tuning out most of the bass drum and bass guitar. The fly cue function on the Gemini CD1800X lets you set cues on the fly with one press of a button while listening. Press the cue button to return to the memorized cue point. With instant start, a track is in action within 0.015 seconds of your pressing play. Familiar features like Robo Start (with 2 players connected), direct track access (0 to 99 tracks), and single/continuous play modes make this front-load CD player a valuable addition to any setup. Display options include track elapsed, track remain, or total remain. Stavros
When you say a smoke free environment, how does that actually affect the equipment? Genuine question, honest.
Rich
Equipment in a smokey environment can end up being a bit manky. More in club environments but also small rooms where there's heavy smokers, over time you do get a sticky manky build up.
