Tempus Fugit
I am told on very good authority, from a passenger's point of view, that the passageway between the seats is too narrow to walk down without turning sideways, it would be very difficult with shopping bags or children in hand, there are hardly any bell buttons to signal you want to get off, yet you are told to wait until the bus stops before standing up, which is difficult if you can't get it to stop in the first place. Even people who made it to a bell push were taken to the stop beyond where they wanted to get off. Seems like they also have no ticket punches so no multi-trip tickets are being clipped. Not a good start, bring back the single deckers with a button on every seat !
keyboarder
I heard the new buses have got oval wheels. Only on the Isle of Man..............
ccsnet
I like them..... I spose no matter where you are any company needs to keep its fleet good and in this case I bet theres an emissions / cost benifit never mind the presentation of the island. Max Power
I think they look great. Now if only they could sort out a decent route and timetable? A young lad I work with has a two hour trip home to Ballaugh every night having to change in Peel? We give him a half hour lunch so he can leave early, otherwise he'd be getting home at 8.30!! It doesn't suit us but hey ho. Ridiculous in my opinon.
Vulgarian
To be fair, i think they run a pretty good service considering the size of the Island. I doubt if any rural areas in england or anywhere else have a such a frequent service over a similar size area, and with half of the buses near empty on most runs, there's obviously no need to increase the frequency of services. People often moan that there are no buses running exactly where they want to go at exactly the time they want to go, but it's a not a bloody taxi service. Surely they should have waited until they have carried out the review of bus services before buying new vehicles that don't have suitable ticketing facilities. The Old Git
Nor too sure that having "Doolish" instead of "Douglas" on the destination board makes a lot of sense though

bluemonday
Exciting passenger eye views ( lower deck ) Number 13 to Laxey (Bus number 63) Note TV screen displays rotating CCTV pictures of interior views. 4 bell ringers on R/H posts. ( Bell note is shriller than old type ) Seats much harder. Driver says comfortable to drive but seems to lack power. jimbms
I believe ther is a little problem with them being able to get under MER cables, which means anywhere past Laxey or over the mountain could be a problem

Please get it right it is the IOM dept of transport not the DoT, they did not order the buses nor did they set the hight of the cables, you should realy think before you try to blame a group who you have a grudge against
