Think I probably only had the volume set to 1 as well!! The game/voice mixer didn't seem to be doing its job, but I'm sure it is something simple to sort. Need to get used to wearing them now and actively listen out for things like those tell-tale footsteps.... Spot on. Thanks for the advice guys!
