Swine Flu And Tt 09.

I had a dodgy kebab for my supper last night (I TOLD them I didn't want salad on it) and was up in the early hours expelling it at some speed.

Could it have mutated into sheep already? Am I going to die a horrid sniffling death?

I'd blame the donner meat, not the salad. I mean, what is that stuff anyway?

The "elephant's leg" as it is known!

There are different types of kebab made in the UK, however the most popular is reported to be the lamb doner which is made from minced lamb, egg, breadcrumbs and spices and is then sliced thinly from the rotating spit.

Kebab meat is marinated meat placed on a vertical spit and grilled as it slowly turns, after the cooking is complete the meat is sliced thinly by a sword like knife and arranged on a plate with Ace or flat pide (Turkish pizzas or “kebabpizza”) or pitta bread and served with yoghurt and salad.

The unique flavour of doner kebabs has now spread beyond the Middle East and has become a product that can be found throughout the world.

In recent times fat and salt have been added to the doner kebab and some salt levels have been found to be as high as12g (our daily recommended salt intake should be no more than 6g).

Reports suggest that in commercial doner kebabs, the ratio of meat to fat declines with the price of the product and many shops now serve doners that consist of 40% fat.

Less scrupulous kebab makers use cheaper meat with a higher fat content and they are likely to add emulsifiers and rusks and preservatives. Some will conceal the fat within the centre so that it is not in full view of the customer.

Doner kebab meat is sold from a log, which can be home made or purchased from a specialist wholesaler; the majority of kebab houses will purchase them ready made.

I'm not an enthusiast however!!!

I heard that there was a report on Sty news that swine flu had reached the Island.

It first appeared in Oinkhan, then went down the course of the Steam railway, with cases being identified in Pork Soderick, Pork St Mary and Pork Erin.

It may now be on its way to Peel, as there is a suspected case at Ballachroink.

It must have struck many people as highly odd that we are all suddenly informed of a probable outbreak of 'pandemic flu' on the basis of a few deaths in Mexico, yet all the other sufferers of this H1N1 strain in the world have a bad cold. There was in fact NO EVIDENCE OF PANDEMIC FLU, or any corroborative evidence it being a severe strain outside of Mexico. No media organisation worth its salt would normally run a story without checking its sources and accuracy at the risk of looking like a tit when you are proved wrong. No government should do the same, but all this has been happening.

On the wave of panic, drug companies are suddenly amassing huge profits, juat like they did with another previously unusual scare - ultra hi-tech American weaponised anthrax spores in letters. Remember how much Ciproxin was sold to saps in the Manx, British etc governments under the influence of a huge scare story that was circulated then (no doubt linked to plans to carry out a dodgy war or two). Remember the Millenium bug that wasnt, and the SARS that wasnt...

How many thousand people die of flu in a normal year in Britain? The figure is probably 10,000+!

This swine flu panic is a LIE!
