Just wait till the plans for the new sewerage plant for North come in and then watch for the nimbys. How they'll argue that continuing to sh*t into the sea is a good thing will be interesting.

It isn't good that the pipe isn't long enough and the tidal stream carries it all down to Purt Lewaigue, but if it was just sh*t it wouldn't be a problem, in fact it would be quite beneficial. The problem is the chemicals, condoms, tampons and all the other stuff that people flush down the bog.

Plans to expand a recycling centre on the Isle of Man have been met with opposition by local residents.

They should be pleased that the government is willing to spend some money on improving recycling facilities on the island.

But I would suggest they put the re-use and recycling sheds before the 'chuck it in the skip' part.

The one in Douglas is the wrong way round.
