scarbunny
I have just received my brand new Fonera 2.0 router a fantastic piece of kit allows you to download torrents and from services like Rapidshare and MegaUpload with out needing your PC on. Connects to all manner of USB devices and can be used as a print server, media server ect. Also once the device is registered it enables you to connect to free Wi-Fi hotspots around Europe. More details here, here and here These aren’t available in the UK or IOM due to the manufacturer having a commercial agreement with BT, this was purchased via the manufactures Irish website. Comparison with similar routers I paid around £60 including postage never been used only opened the box to check it all worked, so offers around what I paid. Reason for sale is it took a lot longer than I expected to be despatched and arrive so I bought a much more expensive solution in the mean time. *edit* Also there is a thriving developers community working to bring new features to the device via a built in software repository. immortalpuppet
I take it its just a router and does not have a built in modem to connect directly to broadband?
scarbunny
That is the case, although there are a few decent modems for around £25, or you can bridge it to a current modem/router to add the server features.
