Chinahand
I had a nice reason to look up this song today. Times may be tough, but also contain reasons now and then to celebrate:

Shake me up Judy
I'm reminded of this China. How sad that only last year we were remembering the 50th anniversary of the greatest achievement for mankind in my lifetime.

Declan
Sad to learn that Adam Schlesnger of Fountains of Wayne died of the Virus recently. Probably best known for Stacey's Mom, but they actually had loads of great pop-rock songs, especially on the first album. Chinahand
One of my happiest memories is driving a bakkie from Durban to Pietermaritzburg in South Africa and being taught to sing this song a cappella. Ah, Fleur and Penny, Happy Days. Bill wrote some good songs!

ecobob
Loving this thread. So many new additions to my Spotify coming up. Never heard of Pottery but I’m going to be listening to them all night now. Cheers ATP
Shake me up Judy
One of my heroes, the great American songwriter John Prine died yesterday. Incredibly he wrote this beautiful song in his early twenties, and it's still the best song about old age that I've ever heard. Looks like today's going to be a John Prine day... 1
Declan
I didn't really know too much about John Prine, just his Christmas lp, but this came up on Youtube and the vocal performance is exceptional...
