It's poor weather... well yes that always dampens the day

 

But if you want to spend a day sat in a hotel bar - what do you expect to happen? If I went to a London hotel and sat in a bar all day while it pissed down I;d probably twitter about how shit it all is

I used to holiday here (long weekends) quite often before I moved. It always felt like home from home (dunno why). I guess it's a Marmite thing.

 

I don't understand what some people expect - especially if they've done ANY research before buying a ticket.

I wouldn't holiday here either. Those days are gone.

 

Would I live here? Oh yes, and an even bigger OH YES!

 

Agree with you, Gladys. Used to tell people not to spend more than a long weekend because that's all you need to see and do the touristy things. Living there is much better though. Great friends to be had to fill up your free time.
