Confirmed
Could somebody please explain why there have been a number of survey ships around the island in recent weeks? On ShipAIS it seems these vessels have been particularly active. I realise there was plenty of activity because of the airport development but it looks unrelated. Why are they focusing on such a specific area? Albert Tatlock
Could somebody please explain why there have been a number of survey ships around the island in recent weeks? With all the rain, we had a whip-round and decided the island is to be towed to a location next to the Bahamas. You can't just move an island like that...it takes a lot of surveys and planning. Graculus
Haven't you heard? It's to do with the Sellafield / Chernobyl conspiracy, together with the fact that man never did land on the Moon. Very hush-hush but I understand that James Brolin will be at the Villa in October to discuss matters with those 'in the know'. Possibly a place to be avoided at this time, though, since Hal Holbrook will be behind the wheel of a tanker, chasing Dennis Weaver along Douglas Prom. Lee54
The two tugs are with the barges at the airport site. We have also had visits by the gas survey and supply ships. PS with a bit of luck they could be surveying a route for a bridge/tunnel to replace the Racket and the Airport.
