Ship Activity

Confirmed

Recommended Posts

Could somebody please explain why there have been a number of survey ships around the island in recent weeks?

On ShipAIS it seems these vessels have been particularly active. I realise there was plenty of activity because of the airport development but it looks unrelated. Why are they focusing on such a specific area?

With all the rain, we had a whip-round and decided the island is to be towed to a location next to the Bahamas.

You can't just move an island like that...it takes a lot of surveys and planning.

Haven't you heard? It's to do with the Sellafield / Chernobyl conspiracy, together with the fact that man never did land on the Moon. Very hush-hush but I understand that James Brolin will be at the Villa in October to discuss matters with those 'in the know'. Possibly a place to be avoided at this time, though, since Hal Holbrook will be behind the wheel of a tanker, chasing Dennis Weaver along Douglas Prom.

The one off Ramsey is surveying the possibility of mining gravel from the sea bed

Not looking to recover a long section of scrap metal sticking out into the sea then?

PS with a bit of luck they could be surveying a route for a bridge/tunnel to replace the Racket and the Airport.
