When Skies Are Grey
It's the Maltese Falcon. Super Dooper racing yacht I'd imagine they do zero racing it that. Plenty of G&T though. She competed earlier this month in the Perini Navi Cup.....scary under full sheet.

lethargy
Yes. If there's a big boat, and it's in the bay, then there's a big boat in the bay. Right?
Terse
Does anyone know the origin of the "big boat in the bay" expression ? i've got one explanation. A newspaper seller at the bottom of Broadway. It was his cry every day, regardless of what was in the papers he was selling.
mollag
Gotcha! Johnny puttynose he answered to, usually followed by "fifteen funnels each side" or the famous "big hole in the road,Corporation looking into it" Where are the excentrics when you need them, come back Harold and Artie. theambo
It would appear the delights of Strand Street have been experienced and its on its way to Gibraltar. I wish i'd managed to see it under sail.
Theodolite
I only had my mobile phone camera with me and took the picture through a builders level, hence the crosshairs! The above was taken with the level tilted down. The following is a mobile phone video taken with the instrument level. The quality is pretty poor. However, it was taken from a second floor flat at Woodville Terrace and so pretty high up. Bearing in mind that the tide was out too, it shows how tall the masts were!
