monasqueen
The Mail online has reported that a SeniorTory MP on official Parliamentary Trip was almost bared from making his flight to the United States after telling check in staff his bags were packed by Osama BimLaden Another strip search? Yes, so the MP got away with an even more ridiculous and inflamatory comment than saying he had explosive sandals. Why does our security have to be so ****** humourless and touchy? And the other officialdom who dealt with this were no better - what's wrong with someone just being told off for saying something that was in poor taste, and allowed to go on his way in peace? They were so far over the top on this case that they will be driving tourists away in droves.
Xpert
The security at Ronaldsway is the travellers last impression of the Island. While they have a job to do it would be nice if they were a bit more friendly. They know people are going to be pissed off with having to go through these security checks. They don't have to compound it by displaying a 'mightier than thou' attitude. Sometimes a 'sorry but ....' response may just make the process a little more human. Personally I don't enjoy going through there as the whole process makes me feel like a criminal.
