mollag
In the Guardian is a report on moves to legalise prostitution ahead of the world cup. The spin is "to help reduce the spread of HIV amongst the fans"---sounds a bit like " to help fight the war on terror" but anyway, could they not go one better and involve the trade more into the competition? Loads of new events with a "hands on element" that you dont get with the steeplechase, any thoughts?
P.K.
The problem is the scale of infection in Sub-Saharan Africa. So I guess the only way to control it would be via legalisation and regulation. Like the "Doctors Card" in Germany.

sausage
I read the topic title and thought that they were making it legal to pay postmen and postwomen for sex at the world cup. Is this not the case ?!

Domino
Did you know that quite a few ladies 'come here' for TT? Not exactly World Cup masses visiting, but supply and demand certainly opens the doors for a provider. Putting the word legalising in? It was 'organised' the year before last by a local coppers wife. Oh yeah.

Typical of the Grauniad not to know that prostitution is already legal, and indeed has never been illegal in the UK. Or are they going to legalise brothels?
