simon
In Spain, where he is on a book tour, Gerry Adams was interviewed on BBC Radio News today - about the Garda Síochána arrests which are said to be part of an investigation into money laundering. Dodging the issue, he said, with some indignation, "as far as I know - it still isn't a crime to be arrested". I'm not passing judgement on the volunteer pension scheme (or whatever the truth is). But it seemed like an amusing way of stating the obvious. I couldn't work out whether he was making some kind of sly in - joke. Or even whether it was a joke. It seemed like a parody of political talk.
waddy
They are finding the money everywhere ... i would have thought after pulling something like that heist off they would be smarter laundering it.
shamus
Perhaps they should have opened a bank account on the Isle of Man
Declan
That would be a smart way to get caught. The days when people could turn up at a bank in the Island and deposit bundles of twenties, without the source being checked are long gone.
