Interesting how the poverty and destitution in China creates far more smiles and laughter to be photographed and observed than the rural idyl of a western small town transplanted into the outer island reaches of aboriginal Australia. Bet you there is much tragedy behind those Chinese smiles - wonder how different the life is behind those Tasmanian lace curtains is to that in say Castletown. Wealth does bring advantages, but compications too. You don't have much status anxiety when your at the bottom. But my goodness you face physical adversity living in an environment like that.
