What have the "capitalist elite" got to gain from sending 30K+ troops to Haiti. How does this fit in with LDV's ideas about motives. His contributions often have strong statements saying that humanitarian motives mean nothing and the "capitalist elite" has other motives - I've usually come back saying his ideas are too simplistic. Have you seen the amount of £15-£30000 cars 4x4 driving round there. mercs VW etc. there must be some rich ppl there.
