Hugh Jampton
Back in my part of the Big Smoke the mini cab firms noticed an increasing local Asian population but not much custom from them. They found out that there were many "underground" asian cab firms set up and just getting work from their own community. Although it was illegal, the business never went back to the established minicab firms. I doubt if it would work here but one could do it within Clubs or streets, if you needed the cash. P.K.
Why would a full time Civil servant want a taxi plate, Greed <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wrong. It's obviously a Work Experience scheme.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This was just my little joke..... -
loaf
All sounds a bit like "Hello again Mr Government, ahh, how nice, looking after your public as usual - look at them there, all trying to get to work on time at rush hour... Oh, by the way, thanks for all that money we make by restricting ply-for-hire customers to only us badge holders. Now er, don't get any ideas giving out any more badges, will you? I mean, it'd be terrible if something happened to your precious public, now, wouldn't it?"
